Day 1 & 2 critical sprint update!, by xjm
- Yesterday contributors started investigating known performance issues as well as other known critical, and today work on many criticals is underway. We have an "IRL issue queue" to help contributors find tasks and collaborate: https://twitter.com/xjmdrupal/status/587929796354691072
- One critical has already been fixed, three were demoted to lower priorities following research indicating that they did not need to block release, and of the remaining 44, 20 have been updated during the sprint!
- 35 total patches have been committed during the sprint so far.

- Lots of work disentangling and re-scoping critical and major issues related to the session and authentication API. I filed a bug regarding the Views documentation: https://www.drupal.org/node/2470753
I found that the bug regarding views_embed_view was already filed (https://www.drupal.org/node/2208811), so I'm currently working on re-rolling that to try to move that issue forward. I left off getting a Drupal VM set up so I could run the tests (there were certain test failures from the changed code that I will likely have to fix again)
So on Wednesday, I plan to continue that as well as refining my presentation slides.
